Photography, walking, writing and making zines are all part of my ongoing creative practice in which I use aspects of psychogeography to explore spaces and places, and their connections and histories.
Psychogeography is an interdisciplinary activity which uses walking as a means to study the effects of place on the emotion and behaviour of individuals.
In February 2023 I was part of a walking conversation with Andrew Stuck of Talking Walking (Museum of Walking). The audio recording of our walking conversation can be heard here: https://www.talkingwalking.net/julius-smit-talking-walking/
I am a member of the Walking Artists Network, and am based in East Sussex, UK. https://www.walkingartistsnetwork.org
